A celebration full of laughter, voices and happy faces; children and adults who filled our Department's space during the week of the festival and created with us memories that we will remember for a lifetime.

We would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts all of you who visited us, as well as the volunteers of the Festival, who gave life to this institution for another year. We owe special thanks to the professors and staff of our Department for their continued support.

We would also like to thank our sponsors, who supported us in this effort and stand by us so that we can continue to count many more Children's Festivals.

It is worth mentioning that, on the occasion of the organization of the 17th Festival, extensive aesthetic and functional interventions were carried out in the surrounding area.

We wish you a good summer and thank you for being part of our celebration. We renew our appointment for the "coming of age" of the institution, at the 18th Children's Festival...

From tomorrow, June 2nd, until Friday, June 5th, from 09:00 to 13:00, the Department of Education Sciences and Early Childhood Education is organizing the Children's Festival for the 17th consecutive year to celebrate the start of summer together.

This year, we are delighted to host:

  • Students from the Department of History and Archaeology with the workshops “Origami” and “The Little Archaeologists,” under the guidance of Professors Ms. Cleo Gougouli and Ms. Panagiota Pantzou,
  • students of the Department of Theatre Studies with the Theatrical Performance "Playing with the Magic Flute", under the guidance of Professor Mrs. Angeliki Kordellou.

Parents with preschool-aged children (ages 3–7) are welcome to visit and participate for free in the festival's workshops.

We look forward to seeing you all, children, parents, educators, and schools for a truly unique experience!

  1. The poster will be A3 size, with a vertical orientation.
  2. This year the color of the Festival is fuchsia, so this will also be the dominant color on the poster! It will include:
  • the title: 17th Children's Festival of D.E.S.E.C.E.
  • the University of Patras and our Department
  • the dates of the Festival (June 2 to 5, 2026) and the opening hours (daily 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)
  • the name of the poster creator (in bold)

There are three conditions for participation:

  1. 1. You must have attended or currently be attending the corresponding course related to the workshop you wish to participate in, except for the following workshops:

"Middle Songs and Dances", "Play Practices", "Unicef ​​The Rights of the Child", "The Art of the Earth", "The Adventures of Detectives", "The World of Physics" and "Operation Care".

The following workshops require mandatory attendance of the related course:

"Storytelling", "Language Breakers", "Circus Games", "Kinesthetic Games", "The Land of Colors", "Colors and Imprints", "Renewable Energy Sources" and "Musical Fairy Tales".

  1. Be able to attend the festival site daily from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Monday to Friday), as well as on the day of cleaning and decorating the sites (the weekend of May 30-31).
  2. Sign the volunteer work contract at the information meeting that will take place in May.
