The Organizing Committee of the 13th Children's Festival invites you to take part in the Christmas event, which will be coordinated by graduates of D.E.S.E.C.E. of the University of Patras.
One of the most beautiful holidays of the year is approaching and we are waiting for you Friday, December 17, 2021 and time 18:00 in technological environment of Zoom ( https://upatras-gr.zoom.us/j/95377828312?pwd=STJzRExlRlRiYmVEeTQ4bjBlYVF0QT09 ), so that we can "give the aroma and taste of ginger" to this year's Christmas!
To participate in the event, you only need your festive mood and the preparation of materials for the creation of Christmas sweets.
At the Christmas event, 3 actions will take place. The program follows the following course, as designed by the coordinators Sarris Giorgos and Tsiomou Agathi:
- Ginger beer creation
- Ginger beer creation
- Retelling of the traditional story of the Gingerbread Man
For the Ginger beer, you will need to have the following materials and utensils with you:
Materials:
- ginger beer
- pineapple juice
- a lime
- a cinnamon stick
- mint
Utensils:
- a shaker
- colander (small)
For the cookies Gingerbread Man, you will need to have the following materials and utensils with you:
Materials:
- 300 gr. flour
- slat
- baking soda
- powdered ginger
- cinnamon powder
- 50 gr. unsalted butter
- 100 gr. Brown sugar
- 100 gr. honey
Utensils:
- a bowl
- oven pan
- greaseproof paper
- rolling pin
- cutter or some glass to create different shapes
