Children's Festival

The Children's Festival of the D.E.S.E.C.E. began in 2010, aiming at the opening of the university towards the local community and strengthening bonds between the children, the teachers, the parents, the kindergartens, the university students and the university. It is held annually for one week (late May - early June) and its activities, with primarily an educational focus, take place on the premises of the Department.

Ύστερα από 15 χρόνια ανελλιπούς ετήσιας διοργάνωσής του, 10000 παιδιά συμμετείχαν σε δημιουργικά εργαστήρια, ενώ περίπου 1000 φοιτήτριες/-ές είχαν τη δυνατότητα να πειραματιστούν και να εφαρμόσουν στην πράξη όσα διδάσκονται, να συνεργαστούν μεταξύ τους και να αναλάβουν ευθύνες, δημιουργώντας μια «κοινότητα συνεργασίας».

Responsible for the coordination of the festival is the Organising Committee, composed of students and one university teacher. However, the students of D.E.S.E.C.E. play the most important role, since they are the ones who voluntarily carry out the actions of the festival and ensure its impeccable conduct.

Since 2016 graduates from D.E.S.E.C.E organise their own festival, the Vegera fest,in Falatadhos of Tinos, Cyclades!
